Language Experience
Today we experimented with different powders (milo, icing sugar, cinnamon, raro, sugar, salt) to see which we liked and which we didn't like. Can you guess which ones were a hit and which ones we screwed our faces up to? Miss Rankin didn't tell us if what we were about to taste was 'naughty' or 'nice'. We got good at guessing though! On Monday we'll write some wonderful recounts using our senses of sight, smell and taste!

Language Experience
Today for language experience we had some fun with shaving foam. We were able to draw with it, squish it in our hands, smooth it out and generally experiment with it. It was so much fun! When we were all cleaned up we brainstormed a lot of words about the experience. We focussed on our senses, so what it looked like, sounded like, felt like and smelt like. On Monday we will use this experience to write a story using some really interesting vocabulary. Have a look at the photo's below!

Week 5, Term 3
Science Alive
Please remember to send along $5 for the Science Alive activity. We need two more parent helpers. Please let me know ASAP if you are able to assist.
Cricket
On Tuesday we will have the opportunity to participate in some cricket activities. Please ensure your child has appropriate footwear and warm clothing for running around outside.
Wednesday
Mrs Jan White will be teaching on Wednesday afternoon as I have EQC and structural engineers at my house in the afternoon.
Gymnastics
Tuesday and Wednesday we have Gymnastics. Please ensure your child has suitable school uniform items for rolling in. It is also helpful for children to have shoes on they can easily take on and off.
Library
Monday is library day. Make sure your child has their library folder please. Children are not permitted to get books out unless they have their library folder.
